Stop trusting siloed platform ROAS. Use a single AI assistant connected to Meta, Google, and Shopify to measure blended ROAS and MER against real revenue.

Why platform ROAS lies to you
If you add up the revenue Meta Ads and Google Ads each claim to have driven, you will almost always end up with a number that is bigger than what Shopify actually banked. This is not a bug. Each ad platform takes credit for conversions using its own attribution window and its own view of the customer journey. When a shopper sees a Meta ad, clicks a Google branded-search ad a day later, then converts, both platforms count that sale. Double-counting is the default.
The result is a familiar, frustrating gap. Meta says it returned a 4.2x ROAS. Google says 5.1x. But your Shopify dashboard shows total revenue that, when you do the math, implies a far lower blended return. You are left with three siloed dashboards, three different versions of the truth, and no reliable way to answer the only question that matters: for every euro we spend on ads, how many euros of real revenue come back?
The fix: one assistant that reads every source together
The reason platform ROAS over-claims is that no single platform can see the whole picture. Meta cannot see your Google spend. Google cannot see your Shopify orders. The only way to get an honest number is to put ad spend and actual store revenue side by side, in one place, and reason across them.
That is what Commerce365 does. It connects your Shopify store, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Klaviyo to an AI assistant. Because the AI can read spend from the ad platforms and revenue from Shopify in the same conversation, it stops relying on any one platform's self-reported attribution. It anchors everything to your real Shopify revenue, then shows you how spend across channels relates to that single source of truth. No spreadsheet exports, no manual reconciliation, no waiting on an analyst.
Setting it up with Commerce365
Commerce365 is on the Shopify App Store and free to install. Getting to cross-channel analysis takes three steps:
Install and connect Shopify. Install the app from the Shopify App Store. Your store revenue, orders, and customer data become available to the AI immediately.
Connect your ad and analytics sources. In the integrations area, authorize Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, and Google Search Console. This is what lets the AI correlate ad spend with the orders that spend produced.
Choose how you want to talk to it. You have two options. Use the built-in chat inside Commerce365, or connect the Commerce365 MCP server to Claude (Claude Desktop, the Claude app), ChatGPT, or any other MCP client. The MCP route exposes your store's data and actions as tools the assistant can call on demand.
Either way, you end up with an assistant that can pull live numbers from all your channels at once and reason about them together.
The questions to ask
Once everything is connected, you are no longer reading dashboards. You are asking questions in plain language and getting answers grounded in your real data. The metrics worth asking for:
Blended ROAS - total revenue divided by total ad spend across every channel, so platform double-counting cancels out.
MER (marketing efficiency ratio) - total revenue divided by total marketing spend. The single number that tells you whether your marketing engine is actually efficient, independent of any platform's attribution.
New vs returning customer revenue - whether your ad spend is buying genuinely new customers or just paying to re-acquire people who would have come back anyway.
Channel contribution - how much each channel actually contributes to real revenue, not how much each platform claims.
Example prompts to copy
Here are prompts you can paste straight into the chat or your MCP client. Adjust the date ranges to suit you.
"Calculate our blended ROAS for the last 30 days. Use total Meta and Google ad spend over actual Shopify revenue, and compare it to what each platform reports on its own."
"What was our MER last month versus the month before? Break out total marketing spend and total Shopify revenue for each period and explain the change."
"Of last quarter's revenue, how much came from new customers versus returning ones? Cross-reference Shopify order data with Meta and Google spend over the same window."
"Rank Meta Ads, Google Ads, and organic search by their real contribution to Shopify revenue over the last 60 days. Pull organic data from GA4 and Search Console."
"Meta reports a 4.5x ROAS this month. Show me what that campaign's spend looks like against the actual Shopify orders that converted in the same period."
"Which channel has the best marginal return right now? If I moved 1,000 euros from the weakest channel to the strongest, what would you expect blended ROAS to do?"
"Build me a weekly cross-channel report: spend per channel, real revenue, blended ROAS, MER, and new-customer share, all for the last 7 days."
Because the assistant fetches live data when you ask, every answer reflects current numbers rather than a stale export.
From analysis to action: the budget-reallocation agent
Knowing your real blended ROAS is useful. Acting on it the moment it shifts is where the money is. This is the second half of what Commerce365 does: alongside the chat, it runs autonomous AI agents that monitor your data 24/7 and propose actions.
A budget-reallocation agent watches spend and real revenue across your channels continuously. When it detects that one channel is consistently returning more real revenue per euro than another, it proposes shifting budget toward the stronger performer. Crucially, it does not move your money on its own. Every proposed change lands in an approval queue with the reasoning and the supporting numbers attached. You review it, then approve or reject. The agent does the watching and the analysis; you keep the final call.
That combination - always-on monitoring plus a human approval gate - means you catch efficiency drift early without handing over control of your ad budget.
Get an honest number this week
If you have ever stared at three dashboards trying to reconcile what your ads really earned, the answer is not another spreadsheet. It is connecting your channels to one assistant that reasons across all of them and anchors everything to real Shopify revenue. Commerce365 is free to install from the Shopify App Store. Connect your store and your ad platforms, ask it for your blended ROAS, and see how close the platform numbers really were.
